The Dey family puja of the Nilmoni Thakurdalan in Bowbazar, Kolkata has been ongoing for over a century. On Nabami days, four pujas are performed here. The Dhuno Poran ritual is also practiced. Widows of the family are generally responsible for managing the thakurdalan on their own accord including hiring their own cooks and doing housework with separate utensils. Vegetarian food items are offered to Goddess Jhalu in this thakurdalan.
