Tridhara Sammelani is a flagship Durga Puja committee located in South Kolkata, well-known for its innovative

In 2025, the pandal has adopted the theme “Cholo Firi” which translates to “Let’s Return,” inviting visitors on a symbolic journey to the mysterious abode of the Aghori sadhus, an ancient group renowned for their radical spirituality and confrontation with mortality.
Theme and Artistic Excellence
The theme “Cholo Firi” recreates the eerie and profound atmosphere of an Aghori monastery, complete with a high altar featuring a grand Shiv tandav representation and a temple richly decorated with Devanagari inscriptions, Kali statues, and elements typical of Himalayan mountain shrines. The pandal’s dark yet mesmerizing aesthetics heighten its mystical aura, delivering a tactile experience of confronting fear, death, and transcendence—core concepts in Tantra and Shaiva traditions.
Gauranga Quila, a President’s Award-winning artist, has intricately sculpted the Durga idol and guided the creative vision, making the pandal a true art spectacle blending performative culture with ancient symbolisms. From September 26 onward, Tridhara Sammelani hosts live Shiv tandav performances, heightening visitor engagement with cultural programs that celebrate the divine and the esoteric.

Durga Puja 2025 at Tridhara Sammelani was officially inaugurated on September 23rd by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, emphasizing the event’s cultural significance and popularity.
