Community and Festival Origins
The Bengali community in Eindhoven is centered around the group Bonghoven, which works actively to preserve
and promote Bengali culture in the Netherlands. Their flagship event is Eindhoven Sharad Utsav – Durga Puja, now entering its 9th edition in 2025. This celebration brings together Bengalis from across the Netherlands, as well as local Dutch friends, for a vibrant, inclusive festival.
