The Bongo Poribar Sociocultural Association is a registered non-profit organization that energizes the Toronto and Mississauga Bengali diaspora with festive and cultural events, especially the annual Durga Puja. Founded by a close-knit group of expatriate Bengalis, Bongo Poribar’s aim is to foster community bonds, preserve roots, and create a welcoming atmosphere for new and long-time residents in Canada.

performances, and sometimes guest artists from India and Bangladesh.
